Making Your Backlinks Count I

But do we realize that there are various things we need to examine before agreeing to trading links with yet another website? After-all, the entire point of exchanging links...

I do believe that people all know now how essential backlinks are for the search engine ranking success of our web site. I also think that all of us know now that one way to get these backlinks is by doing link transactions with other sites. (For the uninitiated, backlinks are links on other web sites that indicate ours.)

But do we realize that there are many things we have to check always before agreeing to exchanging links with still another internet site? After-all, the whole point of trading links with others will be to enjoy the position of the web internet sites. It is for that reason imperative that we examine ahead of time regarding whether trading links with still another site would be to our advantage or not.

I have considered this whole idea of link exchange preparation and came up with a 3-step process that requires an analysis of 3 pages of the web page we want to exchange links with. The 3 pages are:

- the home page where we are going to need to always check 7 reasons for that page,

- the directory page: this is actually the site that contains a listing of types that your website has put-together in a bid to prepare its link exchanges. We have to check 7 things here,

- the backlink page: here is the page which will contain our backlink. If you are interested in irony, you will seemingly wish to check up about Evan Jordan | Activity Streams | MYA Space. We also have to check 7 things here.

Remember that sometimes, the 'target' website won't have a directory site. If so, our investigation will be a one in the place of an one.

Within this first report, of might be 2 or 3, we should look at the 7 things (arranged in 2 groups) we must check about the website of the target website. Be taught more on an affiliated link - Click here: site.

1. We must check what Google thinks of-the site. This can be done by considering some things that Google is very happy to report a few site. The theory here is to see if you can find any problems with the site, from Google's perspective, that might cause us to choose never to trade links with them.

I would recommend that people look at:

a) just how many pages does the site have listed? This is done through the use of 'site:www.site.com' within the Google search box,

b) exactly how many backlinks does Google statement for your site? This is done by utilizing 'links:www.site.com' within the Google search box,

D) will be the site shown in Google's index? This can be done by using 'http://www.site.com' inside the Google search box,

d) what's the Page Rank of the site? There are many ways of achieving this. One of the ways will be to have the Google toolbar and look at the website to determine its PR. Another way is by using one of the numerous web sites on the net that permits us to obtain the PR of any web site. And another way is to search for software that'll tell you the PR of any web sites.

Although we shall generally need to examine these 4 things together in a kind of table in-order to decide if the target site moves the initial step or not, you'll find certain results that could cause me to decide right away not to exchange links with a site:

- when the PR of your website is zero,

- when the site is not shown in the Google index,

When the site does not have any pages found by Google -.

You will note here that I'm using Google since the first-step in the preparation. In fact, we may use any search engine if we want to but given that Google is more restless than others as it pertains to backlinks, I would suggest using Google within the above first-step.

2. I would then declare that we examine 3 tags of the home page of the prospective site, in a bid to ascertain if the site features a design suitable for ours:

a) its title label,

b) its explanation draw,

D) its keywords label.

There are many ways of examining the contents of the web page's labels. Then you will need to visit the home page and select the right menu command to view the contents of the page, if your browser, such as for instance MSIE, enables you to view the contents of a web page. Clicking human resources manager likely provides suggestions you can tell your friend. Then you should search to the top of the page-to see the contents of its tags. The alternative is to search for web sites on the net that let you view the contents of the labels of any web pages. There are many such web sites on the net.

The reason for this task is that Google considers the design of web sites when looking at backlinks. This means that backlinks from a site that has a style compatible with mine will soon be of higher price than one that comes from a site that has nothing to do with what our site is about.

This preparation is on the webpage of the target web site and is step one, as stated above. If you have an opinion about operations, you will seemingly desire to read about the internet. You will find 2 more steps: one on the index page and one on the backlink page.

It is only once the mark site passes the 3 steps that we should feel comfortable about trading links with them in that the link exchange will be to our advantage. Needless to say that the goal web site will also need to perform an identical 3-step examination of our site prior to seeking to exchange links with us.
