Seguem algumas dicas do Christian Kästner.
Technical approaches to shorting:
- There are many paragraphs with only one or few words in the last line. These are good canditates to gain a line by rewriting or with \looseness=-1(Rodrigo Andrade: no final do parágrafo desejado)
- Make all figures top aligned. Remove space around captions with \vskip
- Shorten breaking section headings
- Avoid \pagagraph if \textbf could do the job as well
- use lists from the paralist package
- use the microtype package
- make the screenshot much smaller (less height or even try to get it into one column)
- avoid footnotes; avoid repeated long links
- remove the email address from the first page (saves a high line) and try to remove the line break in the university name.
- (Rodrigo Andrade, I did not say that) depending on the conference style, you may use the following commands to reduce space: \captionsetup[table]{skip=0pt} \captionsetup[lst]{skip=0pt} \parskip 0pt \belowcaptionskip -10pt
